On World Red

On World Red Cross Day, we pay tribute to the work of all those who risk their lives to help others in need. Salute to all our front warriors! Wherever there is a crisis there is a Red cross volunteer ready to support the people affected and ensure they recover quickly and can live with great resilience and dignity. Our HPS diamonds of class 8 to 10 celebrated tribute for the contribution to the people in need. Students delivered speech and made posters.

Mothers Day at HPS.

“God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers.”

Clothed with strength and dignity a mother laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks her words are wise and she gives instructions with kindness. She understands what a child does not even say. Mothers are like glue, even when you can’t see them they are still holding the family together .

Mother’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in HPS wherein students were told about the exceptional love and value of a mother. Students participated in many activities like poem recitation, creative writing, cooking, singing, dancing and art activities like card making, handmade jewellery and crown making. The idea was to honor mother and motherhood, to lay stress on the positive influence of mothers in society.

 

International Labour Day

*”All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity as no human masterpiece has been created without great labour.”*

On the occasion of *International Labour Day,* Holy Public School took an initiative to conduct *Labour Day Activity* for the realization of the true worth of labour-class and to celebrate and appreciate the hardwork and achievements of these unsung heroes. Through this activity, students were encouraged to honor the dignity of labour-class as it’s our national duty.

Mind Mapping of National Income

As brain actively make links between ideas, adds connections, puts thoughts in order and generates further creative ideas, brain responds to Mind Mapping as it replicates the natural thinking process, so anyone will find ideas simply flow onto the page, making studying more enjoyable and more fun!

With the same aim Class XII Economics students made mindmaps of National Income as per the guidance given .

Activity based learning is the process of learning by doing. Our stars don’t follow the traditional way to write notes only and memorize them. They shine because they learn by activities. They are ready to shine (participate) in each and every activity. They know well how to connect with the world. As to know more about the world and history, social science activity was conducted. Students learnt about the French Revolution and described it in speech manner. They not only described about French Revolution but they didn’t forget our India. Students gave description about India’s Geography in a very beautiful manner.

Earth’s day

An idle mind is a creator’s workshop. To give students’ innovative ideas a platform and exhibit it, different activities were conducted on Earth’s day. Students used waste things and made useful things with their innovative ideas.

Students made collage with flowers and leaves, seed bomb and photo album.

Our generous children made seed and water feeder for birds. Being aware about Earth, students planted flowers. Our creative students reuse plastic bottle for plantation. The competition was open to students from Grade Pre-Primary to VIII Students enjoyed this fun filled activity.

World Heritage Day

On this World Heritage Day, our precious gems of class 8th have done activity. The theme for 2021 is ‘Complex Past, Diverse Futures’. Students participated in slogan writing, drawing and speech. This special day offers an opportunity to raise public’s awareness about diversity about cultural heritage and efforts that are required to protect our culture.

Handwriting Comp. & childhood pictures

In this crucial time, young learners of Holy Public school are not only sitting still for their class, but also get involved in different activities. They are enjoying their time while learning by doing. For this, interesting activities were being conducted. In the collage making activity, students depicted their lovely childhood by making a collage from their childhood pictures. They enjoyed a lot. English handwriting competition was also conducted in class ll, lll and V. These activities are just a way to polish young minds’ creativity, skills and they give value to love and care.

Seed Germination

With the balanced blend of rigorous academic and co curricular activities, Holy Public School enhances the development of child beyond books. Activities, which promotes experiential learning, active and analytical thinking, were conducted by teachers and students participated with zeal and enthusiasm. Students of Class IV learnt a lot in Seed Germination activity. Our young learners of Class I tried their hand in Hand Printing (Peacock ). Students were so curious to learn these wonderful activities.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar

Said Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Holy Public School celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar- the Father of Indian constitution and a noted social reformer. Online celebrations were done by Class 6th, 7th and 8th. Children celebrated and share their views in the form of speech, poems and stories. Students prepared e-cards and portrait making was also done. Thus students paid tribute to Dada Saheb and they were being taught the importance of equality and justice.

Baisakhi

“The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals”

Gems of Holy Public School celebrated Baisakhi with full and zeal. Virtual activities were conducted to celebrate the joyous festival of Baisakhi which marks the new year and spring festivals. The student celebrated the festival with immense joy using their artistic skills in the class- activities like- singing, dancing and craft making using popcorn, matchsticks, grass together on virtual platform. Our students also paid tribute to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh. They drew pictures of Jallianwala Bagh.

The motive behind the celebration was to to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage.

Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami is a festival that marks the beginning of preparations for spring season.It is celebrated by people in various ways depending on the region.It is also celebrated in HPS with full entusiasm.It is said that Goddess Saraswati can bestow on her devotees lots of wisdom,learning and knowledge as the goddess is considered to be an epitome of wisdom. Teachers wore Yellow clothes to bring the festive mode in environment, offer prayers to the goddess of knowledge. Students have drawn the painting of GODDESS SARASWATI and created beautiful flowers etc.

‘World Cancer Day

“Young voices as most prominent among a scioety” proving this true, class 6 today participated in an activity on occasion of ‘World Cancer Day ‘ marked on 4th February through poster/slogan making and speeches to raise awareness of cancer. Students participated in full enthusiasm to get unite under one voice to face this greatest challenge of health.

SPEECH COMPETITION

HPS has taken initiative to encourage Students of classes VI-VIII to participate in SPEECH COMPETITION on Road Safety on 3rd February 2021 . Students were happy and excited to be a part of the interactive session. Students attained first three positions are awarded with E-Certificates.

APRIL-DECEMBER 2020

The year 2020 could not even start properly when COVID-19 began to spread in India. The sudden outbreak of the virus led to lockdown of the nation. Schools, colleges, markets, malls were closed. It seemed like life has stopped. Corona virus affected each one of us and our lives too. The most impacted were the students who were deprived of education. The new session was about to begin and this virus was at its peak. Education seemed difficult. All educational institutions looked out for the ways to reach their students and make them learn. Holy Public School came up with a ray of hope for its students by starting online classes. It was like a start button to education. Now, students came together on virtual ground through the zoom app and started their classes again. After this there was no looking back.

Christmas day

The family of HOLY PUBLIC SCHOOL, greater noida wishes you all warmest thoughts and best wishes for a wonderful Christmas. May peace, love and prosperity follow you always! On this merrier occasion our school students decorated trees, Christmas bells, caps and made santa claus. Besides the situations we are facing it’s important to have children engage in creative activities and to make them do something for their own and a little something for everyone else. On this merrier occasion like any other we like to build activities to keep the Christmas cheer among our H’Pians and a positive spirit of upcoming new year. We hope we all have a HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR and celebrate new beginnings ahead.

Art

Art helps the students to develop their reasoning, creative, imaginative, and problem solving skills. Doing art enhances their motor skills, hand and eye co-ordination, and helps them to make cognitive advances such as learning proportions , HPS Greater Noida has taken initiative to develop these skills in class XII students under the guidance of art instructor.

Card

Life is not about possession; it is about appreciation, new hopes and aspirations. Another activity in line done by the students of HPS,GN to welcome the new year .With full excitement and zeal they made colorful attractive Pop up cards using their creativity and skills.

FOOTPRINT ACTIVITY

To encourage the cognitive development of our tiny tots, HPS,GN, organized the footprint activity for classes I& II .It not only helped in child’s intellectual development but stimulates their senses too and was emotionally soothing for most of the cases. Overall proved as an excellent tactile experience.

FUN WITH SHAPES ACTIVITY

“There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the sphere.”

HPians ,Greater Noida had enjoyed the activity of making different creatures using geometrical shapes in the guidance of teachers while learning about the characteristics of the shapes.

BENEFITS OF TREES

Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe. Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding. Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals etc. BENEFITS OF THE TREES were taught to students of grade III , through the startup activity of making trees using original leaves and their creativities.

“Art is a form of lifestyle, therapy and joy” The artistic hands of HOLY PUBLIC SCHOOL participated in painting and rangoli making. In order to enjoy the festive week our students made beautiful rangolis and paintings. Despite these tough times students used this opportunity to relax themselves and show their creative edge. With alluring colors in their hand they are also ready to colorfully paint their lives ahead.

Holy Public School provided the common platform for students and parents to participate and polish the better skills to live life. IT’S ONE OF THE BEST WAY TO OVERCOME THE PRESENT SITUATION OF COVID 19, TO BE STRESS FREE AND RELAXED. Yoga is spiritual practice to make us teachable to open our hearts and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know and be who we already are.

With the gleam of diyas and the echo of the chants, may happiness and contentment fill your life! Diwali is all about the people you celebrate it with. It brings us all together to learn the valuable lesson of togetherness and the win of good over evil so we at Holy Public School Greater Noida celebrated it with the same spirit.
Classes I and II decorated Diyas with the teacher’s assistance.
Classes III and IV decorated candles beautifully.
Classes V and VI made creative fancy paper lamps.
Classes VII and VIII had painted Ganesha on tiles. Classes IX onwards were allotted Rangoli making.
All age-groups were involved in the celebrations in the festive moods under the guidance of respected Principal ma’am Ms. Anju Puri and day ended with ma’am’s wishes for the staff.

As a part of class activity, tiny tots of Class I played the role of different characters from Ramayana…

National Unity Day!!!

“Dance is an expression and the hidden language of the soul.” With festivals around the corner the students of HOLY PUBLIC SCHOOL have being the true spirit of joy by enjoying themselves to the rhythm of music, by being their own choreographer. As much as they enjoyed putting their dancing shoes on, we too became jovial. The current Covid-19 pandemic is enough to daunt even the strongest, but dance with its unique power is already serving as a useful vehicle of hope and positivity with that message we all hope that life all around will be dancing a dance of celebration.

Satyamev Jayate!!!

Summer vacation is over and Online classes are on full swing in schools. To make classes interesting, Holy Public School is conducting its online classes differently. The students are given various activities and asked to present during their classes. As a part of activity students were asked to send their dance videos , make flowers by paper folding and pasting dals on their favorite animals etc. The teachers ensure that maximum students participate in the activities and learn while doing.

Online classes with activity based learning are leaving no stone unturned at HPS. As a part of Class activity Grade I students made family collage which helped them widen their creativity & imagination skills ,Grade III students did crossword puzzles on values which helped them brain storm enhancing their vocabulary with learning of values , Grade IV did life skills based activity helping them understand the importance of life on mother earth where as Grade V students did adjective activity while adding new words to their word bank and it improved their understanding skills so that they can easily identify the different parts of speech. All students are actively participating in activities with zeal and enjoying their online classes .A big hand to all students and teachers.

With each passing day activities at HPS are pouring in.Students are excited too .As a part of class activity Class I had Show & Tell where the students showed their favorite toy or thing from the house and spoke about it which helped them boost their confidence there by enhancing their speaking skills.In Class VI Maths activity on the topic Factors the students represented various factors on card board and coloured it and built their understanding about the concept of numbers and their factors.These activities are making the learning process quite interesting and students are coming out with amazing results.

Online classes have never been exciting as they are now because of activities assigned to the students.All students are geared up too. Class IX students in Science activity on the topic buoyant force came to know about pressure and exertion with the help of online experiments .Class X students in S.Studies through different presentations came to know about various movements led by freedom fighters for independence.Class XI & XII science too made measuring scale and learnt about measurement. All students and teachers are giving their best and making day to day activities part of learning.A big hand to all..

‘Atma nirbhar Bharat’ is the vision of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi ji of making India a self-reliant nation.As an educationist it is the our responsibility to teach our students who are future of the nation to be self reliant . Therefore students of class XII Commerce prepared a presentation on the topic ‘Aatma Nirbhar’.The content was confidently explained by students through PPT with full excitement. A great job done..👍

Inorder to keep students engaged and accomplish productive learning,HPS is conducting activities on regular basis.
In class I during story telling the teacher showed a story and explained it too.This helped students improve their listening skills, concentration and also improved their vocabulary.

During Maths activity class IV children learnt to make lines and curves with the help of thread which helped them understand the concept of line segment.
In class V in English , Students were given tongue twisters to recite and students participated with full enthusiasm which helped them improve their speaking skills and coordination.

In class IX English activity students prepared PPT on famous authors and poet which enhanced their knowledge in English literature.
In Class XI Hum. students performed an activity by drinking water where they understood utility derived from constant consumption.
In class XII Science the teacher demonstrated an activity related to functional group test in organic chemistry.
First students showed carbonyl group test which is common to both aldehyde and ketones
Then another reaction for aldehyde only.
These activities are very essential for students as they provide a productive break from studies and help the children to open their mind to new interests and views.

Activities have become a part of daily learning at HPS.
On 6th August, Hiroshima Day various activities were conducted at HPS.
Class III ,IV & V children wrote heartwarming slogans and presented beautifully on chart papers and also recited the slogans with full enthusiasm.Class VI to VIII students made amazing posters and Class IX – XII students spoke about the facts of Hiroshima.Through this activity ,teachers also made students aware of current situation in Lebanon disaster due to ignition of ammonium nitrate in port ware houses.
HPS is making best efforts to make the students learn in a best possible way with unending support of students and staff.

Class I students made Number Card during their Maths class which helped them understand the concept of Addition where as Class II did an activity named ‘Identifying the Characters’.In this activity the students described the story and its various characters with the help of picture made by them.
The activity helped students improve their speaking skills.

To understand the same Class VI students spoke on the topic ” Importance of balanced diet” and drew related charts. The activity also helped them understand about nutrition and diet.

Glimpses of Janmashtami Celebration at Holy Public School..

Class IX to XII students put their best feet forward to perform their Poster Making activity on ‘Role of girls as a youth ‘.
The students depicted the role of girls in today’s world through a poster.
The students learnt that girls need to be respected, treated equally and have a right to be educated.
HPS is doing its best to shape the future of the students and give them best.

“Country before Self”
Amid the novel corona virus pandemic HPS celebrated 74th Independence Day .
The celebration included the participation of students in various activities like role play ,dance etc.
The Coordinators with staff members unfurled the national flag in school premises ,students joined virtually and paid tribute to our freedom fighters.

As a part of activity students of class VIII composed their own poem in English and also recited it during their online class.The activity not only helped students enhance their English speaking and writing skills but they were also able to express their ideas ,thoughts in form of a poem .
All students did quite well .Hence, deserve a big round of applause.

5th September is the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and is also observed as Teacher’s Day.
On this day the students honour their teachers and express their gratitude.
The students of HPS took a step further and made beautiful cards for their teachers and thanked them for their kind services.

पृथ्वी पर मानव ही एकमात्र प्राणी है , जिसे ईश्वर ने कल्पना शक्ति का वरदान दिया है । किसी भी वस्तु , दृश्य या चित्र को देखकर उसके मन में अनेक भाव जन्म लेने लगते हैं , उन्हीं भावों को नन्हे-मुन्ने बच्चों ने चित्र वर्णन द्वारा अभिव्यक्त किया है । चित्र वर्णन से छात्रों में वस्तुओं तथा दृश्यों को परखने की क्षमता का विकास होगा । छात्रों की कल्पना शक्ति का विकास होगा । आज छात्रों ने उत्साह के साथ अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया ।

हिंदी भाषा के प्रति सम्मान प्रकट करने हेतु प्रत्येक वर्ष हम सभी भारतीय हिंदी दिवस मनाते हैं । हिंदी हमारे देश की संस्कृति और संस्कारों का प्रतिबिंब है ।भारत देश में अधिकतम व्यक्ति हिंदी भाषिक हैं इसी कारण 14 सितंबर 1949 को भारतीय संविधान में हिंदी को राजभाषा के रूप में स्वीकार किया गया । यह दिवस हमें हमारी संस्कृति और मूल्यों से बांधे रखता है तथा हमें हमारी वास्तविक पहचान की याद दिलाता है ।हिंदी दिवस के सम्मान में विद्यार्थियों द्वारा दोहे, स्लोगन ,कविता वाचन तथा भाषण प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया ।

ACADEMICS

School started online classes first for IX to XII and gradually moved to VI to VIII and later Students of III to V also joined online classes in the beginning of month April.Through online classes the students and their teachers came together and teaching learning process began.The students were intimated about the time table and meeting IDs of their teachers through class groups. All subjects were taught in a systematic manner ensuring that every child learns, participates and attends the classes regularly.The teacher shared the content with students on their class groups and also gave assignments. Later in mid of April month school started zoom classes for UKG to II students also.The students were taught phonics, rhymes,numbers through different modules.Nursery-LKG students were also taught through various videos made by teachers.The teachers shot their own videos of rhymes,stories,phonic sounds,formation of letters and numbers and shared with the students.The students were also given written assignments.Through the efforts of our Management,Principal,Vice Principal and entire staff of Holy Public School education could reach each child Nursery to XII. Later in the month of May students also had to go under go assessment process based on their learning through online classes and most of the students performed quite well.The efforts of teachers were paid off.During summer vacation also school is running its online classes for weak students to ensure quality education.The online classes were well praised by the parents and students.

YOGA

People are indoors due to coronavirus lockdown. In this situation Yoga can benefit all of us as it helps boosts immunity and maintains mental balance. Taking a step further Holy Public School organised online yoga sessions for its students. All students,teachers and parents were together virtually. It was amazing to see everyone’s participation. The students learned various asanas and exercises which could help them boost their immunity and keep them away from the virus.

ART& Craft

To break the monotonous routine of studies and make students happy, the art department of school also contributed by starting art and craft classes for the students. The students did various creative things under the supervision of their art teachers. Students made crafts with the things easily available at home and learned to draw and colour beautiful pictures. The students loved their art and craft classes and lockdown boredom was quite away from them.

Earth Day

This year on 22nd April, its being the 50th year celebrating earth day and keeping in mind the situation of lockdown, Holy Public School had planned to celebrate this day for a week.During the celebration students from Class I to XII performed on different activities assigned to them.Best three performers from each class were announced as winners.We were glad and thrilled to see the excitement and enthusiasm among our children regarding the celebration.

The day wise activities were-

Day 1- The students were asked to wake up around 4am-5am in the morning and experience the beautiful sun rise and write their feelings in a paragraph. The students from I to XII wrote beautiful articles and shared with teachers on class groups. The first three winners from each class were given e-certificates.

Day2The students were asked to shoot a video in which they were expected to speak on the topic Protection of Ecosystem for max 4 mins. It was a pleasant surprise to see students speaking on the ecosystem. Through this activity the students not only gained knowledge about our ecosystem but also became more confident. The students deserve a big round of applause for their efforts.

Day 3- On this day the students were asked to make something useful with the waste likeold CDs, bottles, bangles etc. The students gave each one a tough competition and came up with beautiful things and ideas. It was very difficult for teachers to decide on winners. All students performed to the best of their ability

Mother’s Day

Students- On the occasion of Mother’s Day, which was on 10th May this year, students of all classes enthusiastically participated in making the day special for their mothers. The students made beautiful bangles, paper jewellery, handbags and paper rings with origami sheets and paper Mache. It was a visual treat to see the little ones taking so much interest in making such beautiful items to express love for their mothers. The teachers gave step by step instructions for creating these big surprises for the mothers. Students of Grade I & II also made lovely cards for their mothers and expressed their feelings through them. Our students left no stone unturned in bringing smiles on their mother’s faces.

Teachers

On Mother’s Day not only students even the teachers participated in activities assigned to them. The teachers were given two topics on Mother’s Day to write upon. One was to write a letter to their mother expressing their feelings for her and the other topic was to write a paragraph on what it means to be a mother. Our teachers took it as a challenge and wrote on the given topics and came up with brilliant articles. A big hand to all the teachers.

Interactive session with Dr. Vivek Shah(Dental Surgeon)

It was indeed a great experience for our senior students as they got an opportunity to connect with a leading dental surgeon Dr. Vivek Shah.He interacted with students and suggested ways to overcome the situation by staying positive in these tough times.He explained some biological concepts and related them with his own experiences as a doctor. The students raised a lot of questions which were answered well by him.Overall it was a greatlearning experience.

Teacher development Workshops and webinars

Amidst all odds our teachers continued to upgrade themselves and enhance their skills by attending various webinars. The Primary and Pre -Primary department teachers were a part of series of workshops by renowned Resource persons in the month of May. These provided a great opportunity for our teachers as they stressed on activity based teaching . These also aimed at integrating subjects with each other to make learning memorable for the students was It was indeed an enriching experience for them.
